Parle & Hickey App
A native-feel ordering app for iOS and Android, built for an Irish wholesaler that has supplied the pharmacy sector since 1954. Customers scan a product’s barcode on the shelf and it goes straight into their order.

The Challenge
Parle & Hickey distributes more than 4,000 medical and consumer products from over sixty manufacturers to 2,000 pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and department stores across Ireland. Restocking usually starts at the shelf, not at a desk. Typing product codes into a website is slow and easy to get wrong. The business wanted an app that turned a shelf check into an order in seconds, worked the same on iPhone, iPad and Android, and used the same accounts, catalogue and orders as the web platform.

Barcode scanning
Point the camera at a product and it’s added to the basket, which is faster and more accurate than searching or typing codes.
Cross-platform build
One React Native codebase released to the App Store and Google Play, running on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Catalogue & pricing
The full wholesale catalogue on a phone, with product images and prices.
Integrations
The app connects to the same accounts, catalogue and order history as the Parle & Hickey web platform.
