About the project
A digital platform connecting people with support, information and community.
The official guide to Ireland’s oldest city and county — experiences, trails, places to stay, eat and drink, and what’s on, with maps, itineraries and a quiz that builds a trip around you.
Services delivered

Visit Waterford promotes Ireland’s oldest city and a whole county around it: the award-winning Waterford Greenway, the Copper Coast, the Comeragh Mountains and the Viking Triangle. Visitors needed one place to plan a trip — what to do, where to stay, where to eat and what’s on — with an interactive map of every highlight and ready-made itineraries, including a short quiz that builds a personal route. All of it had to work on a phone, where people use it on the road.
One site to plan a whole Waterford trip — from the first idea to the day itself.
A clear structure for experiences, stays, food and events, with one visual language across the whole county.
A WordPress platform with reusable templates for experiences, itineraries, listings and event pages.
An interactive highlights map with theme filters, plus ready-made routes like the Wild Ways and the Greenway.
A short quiz that builds a personalised itinerary from who you travel with, your pace and the corner of Waterford you want.
What changed for visitors and for the Visit Waterford team.
Experiences, stays, food and events live in one place, so a visit comes together without leaving the site.
The Wild Ways, the Greenway and the Find Your Wild quiz turn ideas into a day-by-day plan.
The map, itineraries and listings work on a phone, where visitors actually use them.
New festivals, seasonal offers and listings publish on templates built for a year-round destination.
